First Grade Health

The overall goal of health instruction is to introduce children to the basic knowledge and skills needed to establish healthy living habits and personal health care and to recognize the availability of community health providers.

Students will:

• learn the importance of personal health practices.
• describe body systems and organs.
• understand that proper nutrition and physical activity promote healthy living.
• express their feelings positively.
• discuss how to keep themselves and their neighborhoods safe.
