Definition
Assistive Technology (AT) is any device or service
that improves or maintains the functional capabilities of
individuals with disabilities.
Our Mission
Assistive Technology Services in the Knox County School System
provide a range of professional development and support services
to staff, students, and families. We strive to enable students
with disabilities to achieve by providing them access to
the assistive technology devices and/or services that they
need in order to make progress in their educational programs.
Purpose of this site
This site and links found on this site provide information
about related assistive technology projects, events, related
sites in the Knox County Schools Web Site, and links to resources
outside of our school system.
