Partnership in Education celebrates another successful year

Five Amazing Kids
"Amazing Kids" - Five of WBIR-TV's "10 Amazing Kids for 2007 were Knox County Schools students. Sarah Holloway, Mary Mc Alexander, Emily Kiraly, Camera Foster, Carmella Stair (Mother of Savannah Stair).

New Presenting Sponsors:

Wal-Mart and Pepsi are new major sponsors of the School Coupbons Book Campaign.

Quenten Wentworth, Pepsi Bottling Group, and Wal-Mart's Carolyn Art shared their excitement about becoming major sponsors for the School Coupon Books with the luncheon attendees.

25 Years marked by annual PIE Celebration Luncheon

Knox County Schools, its business partners, individual school representatives, and guests celebrated another successful year of partnering for the benefit of education at a special luncheon April 24 at the Sarah Simpson Professional Development and Technology Center.

Pepsi and Wal-Mart were announced as new major sponsors for the annual campaign.

Amber Miller (reporter for WJHL-TV in Johnson City), told the audience of her career-decision making experience as a student in the "Schooled for Success" program sponsored by the Partners in Education. Miller, a former KCS student, was the speaker for the annual PIE celebration luncheon.
