The City Ballet will partner with a fifth Knox County School Friday at 9:30 a.m. at the Fair Garden Family and Community Service Center.

In a ceremony with staff parents and students, the City Ballet will become partners with the preschool classes at the Fair Garden center. The adoption will be part of the center’s Spring Fest Celebration and will feature student performances.

In conjunction with the Partners in Education program of Knox County the City Ballet has partnered with: Beaumont, Bonny Kate, Shannondale, and Sunnyview Elementary Schools. Fair Garden is the first preschool level program with which the ballet company has teamed.

Through this program The City Ballet is developing a dance program at each school and intends to bring guest teachers to each school to enhance and encourage the art of dance education throughout the entire community.
