3500 Fourth Graders Expected to Attend Drug Awareness Day

About 3500 Knox County Schools fourth grade students are expected to attend Drug Awareness Day, Tuesday with the Tennessee Smokies Baseball team.

The program begins at 9:30 at Smokies Park, and is an opportunity for teachers and students to meet the D.A.R.E (Drug Abuse Resistance Education) officers who will be instructing their D.A.R.E. activities next school year.

Following the D.A.R.E. presentation, the Tennessee Smokies and their corporate sponsors will treat the students to lunch and a day at the ballpark as the Smokies take on the Jacksonville Suns.
