The Application & Hiring Process

All persons hired by the Knox County School System are required to verify identity and employment eligibility and must agree to undergo drug screening and a criminal background investigation.

After viewing the list of current Knox County Schools job opportunities, current employees must apply for specific vacancies by submitting a letter of interest and a current resume.  The advertised position/job title must be included in the cover letter and resume to be considered for employment. All resumes and applications should include a daytime telephone number, cell number, and email address. 

Prospective employees, certified and classified,  must complete and submit an application for employment consideration.  Human Resources reviews all applications for appropriate job qualifications and credentials.

The Human Resources Department is transitioning from traditional paper applicants to on-line applications for the 2008-09 school year.  All persons seeking employment with Knox County Schools will be required to complete an on-line application.

The on-line application will make applying for employment with Knox County easier and more timely.
