Sandy Roach

Supervisor of TAG

The TAG (Talented And Gifted) program serves eligible students at all Knox County elementary schools containing Grades 3-5. Eligible students are identified annually based upon system-wide standards, including students' performance upon nationally-normed achievement tests (such as the TCAP assessment used in Knox County Schools) and other criteria. The TAG program provides a range of supplementary and enrichment activities for participating students. For more information, contact the office of Sandy Roach, TAG/Magnet Supervisor, at 594-1731.

Knox County Schools provides intellectually gifted students a sound program of enrichment, acceleration and grouping for instruction. Combining the expertise and resources of the academic disciplines with the Talented and Gifted (TAG) Program, students are offered specialized classes, program modifications and individualized courses. Instruction and Special Education unite to maximize student potential.
