CALCULATION OF CREDITS REQUIRED FOR GRADUATION.

The total number of scholastic credits required for graduation is 4 units less than the potential number available in the student's school (or schools) during the four school years following the student's entry into the 9th grade. As examples, schools on the traditional 6-units-per-year schedule offer 24 and require 20, while schools on the 8-unitsper-year schedule offer 32 and require 28.

In cases of students and schools in transition between the two schedules, adjustments will be made in graduation requirements using the "potential credits less 4" rule according to the following table:
