KCS - Curriculum Based Measurement

In addition to letter naming fluency and sound naming fluency, another early reading measure administered in first grade is word identification. Word identification is measured by listening to a child read aloud words from a list rather than a passage for one minute and calculating the number of words read correct per minute.
