Fund Raising
Fund raising has become a necessary way of life for schools because
so many of the things that are needed are not adequately funded
by tax allocations or fees. Administrators must choose whether
to ask the community to help carry out such projects or to cut
back on the quality of educational programs. These activities
provide the school and community with opportunities to achieve
a sense of accomplishment and pride. These events are limited
in number and must be approved by the local school principal
and the Superintendent. To further limit the number of local
fund-raisers, the Board has authorized one annual system-wide
campaign.
