EXCEL - Project GRAD
Knox County Elementary Summer School
The Knox County Elementary Summer School Program
for Project GRAD students is a four-week program
designed to offer a literacy program that provides
a strong and comprehensive base for students' literacy
and fosters their love of reading through rich
literacy experiences, oral language development,
decoding and comprehension skills, and thematically
focused writing instruction.
The Success for All model emphasizes a cooperative
learning approach in a lab-type setting. The goal
of Success for All is for all students to read
on grade level.
